Al-Wefaq: Minister of Municipalities Targets Dialogue, Undermines Solutions
Local Editor
Bahrain's National Islamic al-Wefaq Association described the Minister of Municipalities, who filed charges against Majid Milad, member of the democratic national opposition force and member of the Secretariat-General in al-Wefaq Association, as "targeting dialogue and attempting to officially strike him."
Al-Wefaq declared in a statement, "Targeting the dialogue table and representatives of the opposition is a decision from the regime and clearly undermines attempts of political resolutions for the crisis in Bahrain."
Moreover, the Association accentuated, "This procedure obstructs dialogue and does not provide any chance for serious solutions the opposition seeks," underscoring, "Accusations of surpassing authorities and tasks should be addressed to the Minister of Municipalities himself, since he wrecked mosques to retaliate from a huge portion of the society for their opinions and political stances."
"If the Minister were in an elected government, he would not have dared to undergo these illegal procedures," the statement added.
