The Palestinian hunger striker in "Israeli" jails, Samer Issawi, is too sick to attend a hearing at "Israel's" Ofer detention center after 232 days on hunger strike.

Issawi Too Sick to Attend According to his lawyer Jawad Boulus, Issawi's doctors informed the court that his medical condition was too serious for him to attend the hearing.

Issawi was hospitalized in late February and stopped drinking water earlier in March.
"He has serious heart problems and is using a respirator," Boulus said, and pointed out that "the hearing will go ahead without Issawi."

Issawi was freed in the Oct. 2011 prisoner swap deal between Hamas and the Zionist entity, but soldiers rearrested him on July 7, under the claim of violating the terms of his release by leaving al-Quds.
"Israeli" prosecutors are seeking to cancel his amnesty and reinstate his former sentence.

This comes as doctors stated that Samer could die any moment, adding that his heart is under 24 hours monitoring.
"Samer was suffering from acute pain all over his body especially in the abdomen, kidney, neck and spine in addition to unstable heartbeat, low sugar, and weight loss as his weight now is no more than 46 kilograms," they mentioned.
