Syrian armed groups shelled Lebanese territories on Wednesday near a border town in the Hermel, northeast of the country.

Armed Syrian Groups Shell Lebanese Town, Plan for Attacking Border Crossings from Lebanon According to agencies, five shells fell at around 10 a.m. just west of the border town of al-Qasr, some 10-kilometers inside Lebanese territory.

There was no report of casualties.

But a local security services official told Agence France Presse that "around 9:00 am, two shells and a rocket fell on the outskirts of the village of Sahlet al-Ma" that lies near al-Qasr.
The area is adjacent to Syria's Homs province, the scene of heavy rebels' attacks.
Residents said the missiles had fallen near a stone mill.

This comes as al-Ahed news site reported that a military injured rebel was secretly transferred from Syria to Jeb Jennine Lebanese hospital through Katana - al-Sheikh Mountains in Shebaa farms.
The incident happened with the full knowledge of "Israeli" enemy soldiers, who were at sight of the region.

Meanwhile, al-Akhbar Lebanese daily mentioned that two days ago, a security report warned that the monitoring and surveillance activities of some suspicious movements in the Jura region escalated.
"The intensive movement of motorcycles belonging to extremist Lebanese youth and Syrian opponents showed that these groups distributed weapons on tents of displaced Syrians in the Jura [an illegal crossing], near the northern Bekaa," the sources stated.

In parallel, security official confirmed to al-Akhbar that the groups seek to launch attacks against centers of Syrian troops on the borders with Lebanon, starting from the Lebanese territories.
According to the plan, the attack will coincide with a scheduled militants' attack from within Syrian territory towards Central Public Administration and Jose crossings in order to control them.
