The Syrian Foreign Ministry sent Thursday a cable to its Lebanese counterpart in which it revealed that "during the last 36 hours, large numbers of armed terrorist groups have infiltrated from the Lebanese lands into the Syrian territories at al-Mathouma, Ain al-Shaara, al-Jousiya and Karyat in TalKalakh countryside.
It further added that the clashes are still taking place which led to the killing and injuring of members of those groups who were evacuated to inside the Lebanese lands.
"The crowds of those terrorist groups are still present inside the Lebanese lands," the cable said, and noted that "they are seen by the naked eye from the sites of our forces, who are practicing the utmost degrees of self-restraint."
In parallel, Syria hoped that the Lebanese competent authorities exert their efforts in controlling the borders with Syria in commitment to security in both lands and to protect the innocent citizens' spirits and not to escalate situation which those groups seek to.
"Syria expected the Lebanese side would not allow those groups to use the borders as a corridor to target the security of the Syrian people and violate the Syrian sovereignty," it mentioned.
The ministry also elaborated that the flow of gunmen and weapons has remarkably started since the dawn of March 12, 2013 from Lebanon into Syria at al-Qusair and Jousiya regions.
This happens, according to Syria, with the clear logistic support from inside the Lebanese lands as well as the transportation of the killed and injured members of the armed gangs through ambulances into Lebanon.
Moreover, the ministry affirmed that the Syrian Army is still practicing self-restraint in order to not hit the gatherings of the armed gangs inside the Lebanese lands to prevent them from crossing into the Syrian lands, but this will not go to an unlimited end.
