Syrian FM Iterates Syria’s Willingness for Dialogue

Syria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Walid al-Mouallem began his official tour for Iran and Russia on Monday with a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
Both parties deliberated ways of ending the Syrian crisis and the latest developments in this regards.
In a press conference with his Russian counterpart, al-Mouallem reiterated, "We are ready for dialogue with anyone who wants dialogue, including those who are fighting with arms in their hands, because we are confident that reforms cannot be carried out through bloodshed, but through dialogue."
"Events in Syria are considered a war against terrorism," al-Mouallem added.
"Jabhat al-Nusra, which is affiliated with al-Qaeda, is involved in main fighting in Syria. It invited fighters from 28 countries including Chechnya," he noted.
Moreover, the Syrian FM thanked the Russian leadership for its stance regarding the Syrian conflict, stating, "This stance welcomes peaceful settling to the crisis."
For his part, the Russian FM Lavrov called on the Syrian government not to give in to provocations by those who oppose a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis.
"The number of the supporters of this realistic line [peaceful solution] is increasing. Those who want to continue the war feel it. They try to strangle positive tendencies among the opposition and prevent steps towards the dialogue," Lavrov accentuated said.
The Syrian FM is to hold deliberations in Tehran with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi and a number of Iranian officials, about the events in Syria and regional and international files.
