Imam Hussein’s Flag Waves in Baalbek
Bilal Moussawi - Baalbek
Hizbullah organised a ceremony of raising the flag of Imam Hussein (AS) near Imam Hussein's Sacred Head mosque in Baalbek.
The flag, that had been in Imam Hussein's sacred shrine in Karbala, Iraq, blessed the Imam's followers before being raised on a 23-meter pole, preparing for the central commemoration for Imam Hussein's 40th day of martyrdom in Baalbek this Thursday.
After a group of Mujahideen had saluted and pledged allegiance to the flag's symbolism, the head of Hizbullah in al-Bekaa Valley region Hajj Mohammad Yaghi delivered a speech, reiterating, "We raise the flag to emphasize that we are [deep followers of Imam Hussein] and we will not rest nor yield nor weaken our morale, but will remain to be resisting Mujahideen, defending the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)'s religion, the Sharia [Islamic law], and all humane and divine morals."
Moreover, he accentuated, "We tell [Imam Hussein]: ‘Oh Hussein, we are your lovers and followers, we grasped your path and will always hold this flag in leadership of our dear great one His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah'."
