Jumblatt: Enough Bidding, Resort to Dialogue
Local Editor
Head of the Lebanese "National Struggle Front", MP Walid Jumblatt stressed Saturday the significance of accepting the presidential invitation to dialogue and accentuated that dialogue is in sake of Lebanon's stability and interest.
In an interview with as-Safir daily, Jumblatt stated, "I was originally the first to invite to dialogue for it was the only choice left."
Jumblatt also reminded that in 2006, House Speaker Nabih Berri's dialogue reaped in the harshest conditions, "resulting in an amiable ambiance and unanimous resolutions."
"We live in a critical situation today," he added, underscoring, "unfeasible terms will lead nowhere, and electoral bids on regional changes I assure you will be in no one's interest, so stop bidding and let's resort to dialogue."
