LA: Foreign Security Agencies Attempt to Recruit Agents

The Lebanese Army revealed Friday that suspicious foreign security agencies are attempting to collect information through electronic query efforts.

In its statement, the LA clarified that "among the used means are: electronic websites, hacking computers, and acceding to Bulk SMS, in order to recruit collaborators and spread malicious programs to collect information from social networks and Lebanese computers."

"This constitutes a violation of national sovereignty and tampering with citizens' security and individual freedoms," the LA confirmed.
In parallel, it warned citizens of of bids to lure them into such traps.
 
In this context, the LA urged them to directly notify it in case they receive any suspicious message on informing@lebarmy.gov.lb.
