Lebanese General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi requested Tuesday the investigations into Future MP Okab Saqr's sound recordings.

Saqr’s Recordings to Criminal Investigation, Syrian Ambassador: Clear Violation of Bilateral RelationsThis comes hours after Saqr confessed that these recordings, related to the transfer of arms into Syria's rebels, leading their military operation, and shedding the Syrian blood, are true.

Saqr challenged the Lebanese judiciary to sue him on these charges.

According to the National News Agency, Madi tasked the Central Criminal Investigation bureau with studying the audio recordings of Saqr to take the necessary decisions in light of the Lebanese regulations and the bilateral treaties with the Syrian government.

Meanwhile, the Syrian ambassador in Lebanon, Ali Abdul Karim Ali asked the Lebanese state to assume its constitutional and legal responsibilities in accounting the Future MP Saqr, who admitted that the recordings belonged to him and that he is involved in supplying the arms to terrorist groups.

In an interview with al-Ahednews site, the ambassador said: Saqr violated the Lebanese law and agreements governing the relationship between Lebanon and Syria through his role in the shedding of Syrian blood.

"Saqr's crimes constitute an aggression on both Lebanon and Syria," Ali said, and pointed out that :this incitement, supplying insurgents with weapons, and partnership with foreign intelligence against Syria requires from the Lebanese state and concerned official bodies to carry their responsibility in punishing Saqr."

Moreover, the Syrian diplomat warned that "this issue has implications, and should not be allowed to pass without punishment, especially as the mentioned MP represents a parliamentary bloc."

"Neglecting the Lebanese state, Saqr continues to do this regardless of the Lebanese laws and articles that criminalize such actions," Ali stated.

In this context, the ambassador listed the articles 316 and 317, which clearly indicate the Future's MP clear and flagrant violation to laws.
