Press TV Poll: EU against Truth Told by Iran
Local Editor
On October 18, the European Commission ordered Eutelsat SA to stop Iranian channels from broadcasting in the West, Press TV states.
76 percent of participants in a Press TV poll held on October 16-26 see that the EU does not want the Iranian media to tell Westerners the actual truth.
However, 17 percent believe that EU does not want Iranian media to infiltrate their media monopoly. 4 percent see that the EU does not want Westerners to be misled, while 3 percent argue that the EU merely sticks to its regulations.
It is noteworthy that 21 percent of the poll participants were US citizens, 12 percent were UK citizens, while 63 percent came from other countries.
The Iranian channels taken off air include Press TV, al-Alam, and the Arabic-language al-Kawthar.
