Aoun: Hizbullah Main Lebanese Component, Attack on Any Lebanese Land must be Confronted by All Lebanon

The Head of Change and Reform Bloc MP Michel Aoun responded Sunday to accusations that the Free Patriotic Movement [FPM] belongs to the so-called "evil-axis", as it stood alongside Hizbullah in the July 2006 aggression against Lebanon.
Addressing participants in the FPM general conference in Canada, Aoun described those who accuse his movement of belonging to the evil-axis as "belonging to the infidelity axis."
"There is no religion in this world that bans its followers from the legitimate right of self-defense in face of any attack," he declared.
In parallel, Aoun stressed "Reality is that the FPM supported Lebanon and not only Hizbullah because the latter is a main component of the Lebanese society."
The MP further highlighted that "any attack on any Lebanese part, is an attack on entire Lebanon."
On another level, Aoun slammed the Lebanese media that are prone to misinformation due to political money.

"I want to warn you against following the news broadcast by some media outlets in Lebanon because they are misleading, due to the political money that is being channeled to them," he told his Toronto supporters.
Moreover, he added: "Those responsible for unaccountability in Lebanon are the media, which have sold their voice... and started flattering the corrupt and criticizing those who undertake reform."
