Larijani: US behind Terrorist Attacks in Lebanon, Iran

Iranian House Speaker Ali Larijani stressed that "the US is behind the terrorist attacks being carried out in Iran and Lebanon."
Larijani's remarks came during an open session of the Iranian Parliament on Sunday in comments about the recent terrorist actions in Iran and Lebanon.

"After exerting pressure on the Iranian nation, the United States is carrying out terrorist actions, and these actions are carried out both in our country and in Lebanon," he said.

In parallel, the Iranian top official highlighted that "here are many ambiguities in regard to the incident in Lebanon."
"It seems they [the Americans] are seeking a new act of adventurism in the region," he added.
On another level, Larijani commented on the recent suicide blast that led to the death of two Iranian citizens in the city of Chabahar.

"The recent terrorist attack in the southeastern Iranian port city of Chabahar was carried out at the order of the intelligence services of other countries," Larijani stated. He also called on Iranian officials to be more vigilant.
Meanwhile, he asked the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee to investigate the incident.
