Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov denied information from the leading human rights organization that Syrian authorities used Russian-made cluster bombs against rebels.

Lavrov Denies Russian-Made Cluster Bombs in Syria, Assures No Russian Arms on Syrian Plane "There is no confirmation to this... There are loads of weapons in this region, including in Syria and other countries of the region, and arms are supplied there in large quantities and illegally," Lavrov said.
The New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) claimed earlier that during the ongoing conflict in Syria Russian-made RBK-250 cluster bombs were used by the government troops against the rebel forces.
Lavrov also said that "it is very difficult to establish from where and how ammunition and weapons are supplied there."
On a related note, Lavrov had said on Friday that there were "no arms" aboard a Syrian civilian jet that was grounded by Turkish authorities on Wednesday and that the plane was carrying a legal shipment of radar equipment, reported Reuters.

"We have no secrets," Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters, adding "There were, of course, no weapons on the plane and could not have been any. There was a cargo on the plane that a legal Russian supplier was sending in a legal way to a legal customer."
