The Lebanese army succeeded Tuesday in rescuing four Syrians who were held by Mikdad family clan.
Lebanese Army Frees Syrians Held by Mikdad Family, Turkish InjuredMeanwhile, the spokesman of Mikdad family Maher Mikdad informed National News Agency correspondent that units from the Lebanese Army stormed Monday night several hideouts for Mikdad clan in Hay al-Soloum, al-Rous, as well as Haret Hreik and succeeded in freeing the captured Syrians.
He claimed that in one of the raids, the army shot and wounded the Turkish hostage who was then whisked out by the Mikdad gunmen and took him to another location.
"The four Syrian hostages were left behind and immediately an army patrol rushed to the scene and took the Syrian nationals with them," Mikdad said.

In parallel, LBCI TV reported that the Mukhtar al-Thaqfi Brigade announced that it has freed Syrian nationals and a second Turkish citizen whom it had previously kidnapped.
The Turkish Ambassador Inan Ozyildiz commented on the news by saying: "We weren't formally informed about the kidnapped Turkish citizens."
"We were informed that the Turkish man abducted by Mikdad clan is in good health," he added.
