"As-Safir" Lebanese daily revealed Tuesday that "a meeting was held between a Lebanese security official and a Sidon figure to address the move of Ahmad al-Assir."

The figure asked about the available possibilities to remove the sit-in at the earliest possible time, particularly as it began to lead to heavy costs in Sidon's squares.

For his part, the security official addressed the Sidon figure by saying: "Let's talk frankly, al-Assir's move has its extensions in Ain al-Hilweh, Sidon, Beirut and the north as well as outside the Lebanese borders."
"Al-Assir is politically and financially covered," he confirmed an and pointed that " the beginning of the treatment lies in lifting the cover over him."
The security official further clarified that "the security decision is easy, but it will lead to blood and this is what we have avoided so far."

In parallel, the Sidon figure tried to dissociate itself from al-Assir by wondering: "Al-Assir seizes Sidon and harms its people and economy."Can't the Lebanese army do something?"
"You can see that al-Assir's sit-in is more like a five-star one. It all began with a tent to be followed by other tents, bathrooms, and luxurious Ramadan meals," the security official said.

He wondered "Where will all this?" and said "Recently, we spotted some of his supporters carrying weapons. Lifting the cover is a must, and then Internal Security Forces is to remove the sit-in with the support of the Lebanese army."
The Sidon political figure quickly replied " No .. We do not want to implicate the internal security forces with this issue."

It further mentioned "what if the sit-in extended to the Sea Avenue?"
" Al-Assir knows that the expansion is forbidden, and its cut is a red line," the official stressed and highlighted that "any attempt to close the Southern Avenue is a play with fire ...The LA doesn't joke in this matter."

Moreover, the daily reported that "a "Future" movement official boasted in his private meetings that al-Assir's movement was fully coordinated with the party."
"The MP Bahia Hariri's initiative is just a formal step!" he added.
