British scientists and public figures stressed that experts at a leading British museum should retrieve from a European-funded study into tiny particle, because one of the partners is a West Bank-operating "Israeli" company.

In an open letter to the UK's Independent newspaper, more than a dozen scientists, some of which are from leading British universities, "called on the Natural History Museum in London to stop working with the "Israeli" company Ahava; which makes skincare products from Dead Sea minerals", Reuters reported.
The group of scientists stated that Ahava works on land in the West Bank, where it "extracts, processes and exports Palestinian resources to generate profits that fund an illegal settlement".

Ahava on another hand claimed that these accusations are false, and that it takes minerals from alleged "Israeli" waters.
In the letter published in the London-based Independent newspaper, the group stated, "It is extraordinary, but true, that one of our great national museums is coordinating an activity that breaks international law".

"We find it almost inconceivable that a national institution of the status of the Natural History Museum should have put itself in this position. We call on the museum to take immediate steps to terminate its involvement", the paper further read.
