Obama, Bibi Stress Strategic Alliance against Iran
Amid meetings between "Israeli" envoys and Palestinians and with the escalated US-"Israeli" rhetoric towards Iran, "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama reiterated their strategic alliance.
During a phone conversation, Obama "reiterated his unshakable commitment to Israel's security, and the president and the PM promised to stay in touch in the coming weeks on these and other issues of mutual concern."
"The president reaffirmed his commitment to the goal of a comprehensive and lasting peace in the region," the statement added.
Announcing that the "two men discussed recent Iran-related developments," they stressed the so-called "international community's efforts to hold Iran accountable for its failures to meet its international obligations."
