A group of activists taking part in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Campaign in France launched a campaign urging the French government to annul a deal sought to purchase five hundred million dollars worth of Heron TP Predator drones manufactured by the "Israeli" company IAI.

This comes in parallel to a campaign launched by activists in Finland, which succeeded in stopping the Finish government from purchasing military drones from an "Israeli" company. After the said campaign, Finland's President later issued a statement supporting the campaign, and condemning the "Israeli" discriminatory practices and policies toward the Palestinians.

Moreover in France, the campaign demanding the call off of the deal also included letters to the Parliament, and appeals were joined by a number of French legislators, the International Middle East News Agency reported.

The petition presented by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Campaign group stated, "No to the purchase by France of 318 million euros worth of "Israeli" drones! An immediate military embargo against "Israel"!"

One of the campaign's reasons to boycott the "Israeli" deal is the latter's violation of international laws. In this context, the campaign's statement further read, ""Israel" has a well established record of violations of international law and human rights, on display in its various military operations and aggressive attacks, incursions and occupations of Palestinian territories and other Arab countries, in its abusive and discriminate use of force and in the deliberate targeting of civilians and infrastructure. All of which result in a ceaseless repetition of war crimes and crimes against humanity."
