Filipinos Attack Clinton’s Convoy with Paintballs
A group of some 50 Filipino protesters attacked on Wednesday the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's convoy with paintballs.
The demonstrators made sure to express their opposition to Clinton's visit to the Philippines. According to AFP, the Filipinos taking part in the rally also threw placards they were holding at the vehicles accompanying the convoy.
Local security forces reported that a US security man jumped out of a vehicle pointing out rifles, but no shots were reported.
Moreover, demonstrators marched their way towards the US Embassy in the Philippine to condemn Clinton's visit and the US military presence in their country.
Filipino protesters called against the "Visiting Forces Agreement" ratified between their country and the US. This military agreement provides US troops with legal safeguards when they visit the Philippines.
