Some 600 people rallied in the streets of Tunisia calling for the exile of all those who tend to normalize diplomatic ties with the "Israeli" entity.
Ahmed Kahlaoui, who chairs a committee opposing the restoration of diplomatic ties between the two countries said, "Death to all Tunisians attempting to normalize relations with "Israel"", Agence France Presse reported.
In a meeting held in the Tunisian capital, in presence of hundreds of people holding anti-"Israeli" banners and shouting anti-"Israeli" slogans, Kahlaoui stated, "We will denounce them and publish their names".
Previously this month, the new political body responsible for the political reforms in the country after the popular revolution ousted former President Zein El Abidine Bin Ali, adopted a new pact in an attempt to form a new constitution for the country.
The new constitution rules out a normalization of ties with the "Israeli" entity, yet some members of the political commission that drafted the text voted in favor of leaving the issue out of the document, AFP added.
"We can no longer trust this body's members, which inclides academics who support normalization with "Israel" and have has tied themselves with the Jewish state", Ahmed Kahlaoui further stressed during the national meeting.
The meeting also included many speeches delivered by Tunisian veterans who were there during the 1948 Arab-"Israeli" conflict.
