The Australian news channel "ABC" broadcast, on the website "Media Watch" , warnings to underline that "the majority of video footages broadcast by the famous news agency " Reuters " about the events in Syria turned out to be not from Syria but old footages of events that took place in other countries including Lebanon."

The site "Media Watch" i.e. competent in the analysis of press information circulating on the Internet mentioned that" in the digital age it is very difficult to continue to broadcast lies because someone somewhere in the world will discover the fraud. "
The site explained that "on the eighth of May, they broadcast a videotape aired by the agency "Reuters" for alleged Syrian security soldiers beating citizens."

However, days later the site received a message confirming that the film is not from Syria but from Lebanon, specifically from the events that took place in 2008. In response, the channel immediately asked a specialist in the Middle East who confirmed two days later that the film aired on the British news agency "Reuters" is taken from the Internet, and that it has already been loaded in the month of August 2008 and certainly not from the last events in Syria. "

"Media Watch" site has added that just before the "ABC's" main news ", an apology appeared on Reuters site apologizing for the tape, and confirming that it was taken from events in Lebanon and not Syria,"

Meanwhile, the chief editor of the newsletter of the site described the correction or apology news as "ambiguous and unclear," accusing Reuters of keeping the fake movie on its site for four days, before deleting it after the agency had received a written request from the management of " Media Watch " website specialized in monitoring social networks.

It is worth mentioning that the Reuters news agency had submitted an apology, earlier this month, to the channel "France II" that was published in the channel's main Bulletin that says : " Reuters News Agency" sent an apology to the channel for the film aired, after confirming that it was found events took place earlier on the Lebanese territories."
