Saudi-backed Bahraini forces have attacked a mosque in the Bahrain ahead of another day of nationwide anti-government demonstrations.
According to sources, Bahraini forces vandalized the mosque in Diraz late on May 12. The Bahraini forces raided the Imam Sadeq mosque, and desecrated copies of the Holy Quran and sabotaged electronic devices.
Sheikh Issa Qassem visited the mosque after it was attacked and insisted to perform the Friday prayers in the mosque.
Sheikh Qassem told thousands of worshippers at Friday prayers in Bahrain that the sentences could bring more rage from the country's Shiite majority since authorities have not made similar investigations into violence used against demonstrators in deadly clashes that began in February.
