In response to Hariri Jr.: Hariri the Father Did Not Pay for Shara treatment

Several media sources revealed, according to documents, that the Syrian government had paid the treatment cost of the Syrian's Vice President Farouk Al Sharaa in the American University Hospital in Beirut (AUH) in 1999.
This came in response to what the caretaker Prime Minister claimed in his meeting with the international investigation committee, which was broadcast in an audio-leak "Truthleaks" by Al Jadeed TV station.
Hariri claimed during the investigation that his father had paid the costs of Al Sharaa treatment in the AUH despite the fact that his father "did not like Al Shara".
In further details, the response says that Al Sharaa was treated on the cost of the Syrian government in the AUH.
The hospital in its turn returned the treatment cost to the vice president, highlighting that Al Shara's treatment and healing in the hospital would be a "Huge Advertisement" to the hospital. Still, the Syrian government rejected the offer since it is a non-governmental step, and donated the sum of 30 thousand US dollars as scholarship support, according to receipt number (24429) dated 08-12-1999, which was delivered along with a letter of gratitude to the University chairman Dr. John Waterberry.
