The military police started its initial investigations on Burj Abi Haidar clashes on Tuesday.

As-Safir newspaper quoted a security source saying that the army leadership took a firm decision on security in the capital, adding that it will be taking a series of steps to prevent such incidents from happening again, knowing that Hizbullah and the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects were completely responsive with the efforts done to end this conflict. He added, "Based on that we could say that the security incident ended on both sides' security and political level."

The source indicated that the military police started collecting evidences and studying information, especially the images and videos taken by cameras in the region of the conflict that include eyewitnesses' testimonies.

He clarified that the army did not call for arresting anyone from Hizbullah or the Association of Charitable Projects, and is waiting until the investigations are complete. Knowing that both sides assured to the army that they do not support those incidents and are ready to hand over anyone involved no matter what his position is.

Furthermore, he assured that the investigation is focused on the conflict's source and cause, and how Hizbullah official in Burj Abi Haidar Mohammad Fawwaz, member of Hizbullah Mohammad Jawad, and member of the Association of projects Ahmad Omairat were killed.

"If we knew who fired first and who gave the order, things would become clearer," he added.

The security source indicated, "All the assumptions are present now, taking into consideration both sides' emphasis on the individuality of the conflict. However, the conflict-extending phenomenon cannot be ignored, especially that both sides consider the assumption that a third side took advantage of the incident and worked on increasing the tension and conflicts."

The source pointed out that the Security Firms have preliminary data indicating the involvement of several foreign intelligences that have been working on stirring up incitements in some Lebanese regions especially in the capital.
