Russian envoy to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin stated that, the Security Council will discuss again in upcoming few days the recent clashes between the Lebanese and "Israeli" army, as soon as the UN forces in Lebanon complete their report on the incident.

Churkin stated that he distributed and discussed among the Security Council members on Thursday a letter he received from the Zionist entity's deputy envoy to the UN.

"The "Israeli" envoy called on holding another meeting specified for discussing the 3rd of August incident on the borders after the report is completed," he added.

"Israel's" Deputy Envoy to the UN, Daniel Carmen's letter included the claim, "After informing the UNIFIL with its plans, a unit in the "Israeli" Forces was doing routine maintenance work in the technical fence on the borders."

The so-called routine maintenance work was cutting off trees from the Lebanese borderline next to the southern village of Odaisseh.
