"Journalists without Borders" issued the following statement on the "Naji Al Ali" Flotilla which will sail towards the besieged Gaza Strip soon:

"After the ship "Julia" (which will carry the name of Naji Al Ali) docked in the port of Tripoli, the ship which will be sent by the Assembly of "Journalists without Borders" with the participation of "The Free Palestine" movement under the name of "Naji Al Ali," to break the "Israeli" siege on the Gaza Strip, carrying symbolic aid for the Palestinian Children and students, and cement for the reconstruction of schools in Gaza, accompanied by a number of journalists and media.

It is important to clarify the following:

The gathering "Journalists without Borders" is a grouping involving professional media and journalists and workers in the information field, and it is not a party or a political side. Accordingly, this role stems from the position of humanitarian solidarity with the Palestinian people, which are killed and tortured on view and ear of the world without any reaction to ease this tragedy. Consequently, the move is not linked to any political agenda."

The statement added that the gathering "Journalists without Borders" will be accompanied by Arab and foreigners' journalists to Gaza where they will cover directly the humanitarian realities on field there after almost four years of siege, consequently, the goal of the trip is mainly professional.

It went on "There have been issued recently some statements by some politicians and others which assume the importance of a link between the Convener of the campaign, "Naji Al Ali," the gathering "Journalists without Borders" and political parties, considering these statements baseless and totally false, empty of any value only that gives "free or maybe not free" coverage for the "Israeli" army to any criminal act against the ship and its crew and the media delegation accompanying the ship. And, therefore we with hold full responsibility for any harm to the campaign as a result of these positions; we also consider that these statements are in the framework of the pressure on the Lebanese government to stop journalists to Gaza."

The statement concluded "There are also some who linked between the campaign of "Naji Al Ali" and any war that may arise in the region. These positions come from the door of the exaggeration on the organizers to dissuade them from carrying out their work. And, therefore we clarify that whose main concern to bring peace to the people of Palestine and her children, elders and women, has to bring first peace to his family and not to bring them war. Therefore it is not in faith, of any of the organizers to import any hostile action against Lebanon and its people. But we insist that it is time for an Arabic honored movement that stands not only by words but by act to the side of the unarmed people in occupied Palestine."
