Nicaragua Announces Suspension of Diplomatic Ties with "Israel"

Nicaragua announced suspension of diplomatic relations with "Israel" on Tuesday, in protest against the "Israeli" raid against the attacked humanitarian aid flotilla.

"Nicaragua suspends from today its diplomatic relations with the government of "Israel"," Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega's communications chief, Rosario Murillo said in a statement read on Radio.

Reiterating the country's support for Palestinian people and urging the lift of siege imposed on Gaza, Murillo added that her country "underscored the illegal nature of the attack on a humanitarian mission in clear violation of international and humanitarian law."
