Six Palestinian women and their children from the village of Araba were detained by occupation troops on Tuesday evening, the International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC) reported.

The women and their children in the northern West Bank were collecting grape leaves from their lands close to the "Mabo Do Than" settlement built on confiscated Palestinian lands from the villagers.

The occupation troops detained them, then moved them to a military site inside the settlement and kept them there until dawn on Wednesday.

An occupation officer ordered the women not to come back to the land, warning them that they would face lengthy detention if they did.

Rice rolled in grape leaves is a very famous Palestinian dish during this time of year.

Araba village farm lands, mostly planted with vines, are surrounded by Zionist settlements.
