‘Unite, Lead’ Formula Should Replace US’ ‘Divide, Rule’: Russian Foreign Ministry

The "divide and rule" formula of world leadership that the US has been following in its global policy in the recent decades is deeply outdated, and a new paradigm of global development is needed, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s official said on Wednesday.

"It’s high time to replace "divide and rule" formula with "unite and lead" - by setting an example contributing to the harmonization of interests of all the nations and peoples..." Vladimir Lebedenko, deputy head of the Department for Relations of Federal Entities, the Parliament and Public Associations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Lebedenko explained that the "doctrine of controlled chaos" that the US has been following in its policy in certain countries, such as Iraq, Syria and Egypt, has upset the whole system of international relations, undermined state and cultural basics in these countries..."
