Syrian Army units are advancing in Homs' northeastern outskirt as it seized the region surrounding Koum in the al-Badiya desert, the so-called Syrian Observatory, which is based in the UK, said.
The Syrian forces are less than 25 km far from the army units advancing in the northern parts of al-Sukhneh as they surround the remaining areas in the eastern outskirts of Homs and Hama under the Wahhabi Daesh [Arabic acronym for "ISIS" / "ISIL"] occupation.
The remaining Daesh-occupied area in the eastern outskirts of Homs and Hama is approximately 8000 square km.
