Lebanon’s Aoun Meets Kuwaiti Emir before Ending Visit

President Michel Aoun Wednesday resumed his talks with senior Kuwaiti officials before concluding his visit to the country.

Before holding a closed meeting with Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, Aoun met with Director General of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdulwahab A. al-Bader at his residence in the Bayan Palace.

The president also met with Speaker of the Kuwait National Assembly Marzouq al-Ghanim.

Aoun arrived to Kuwait Tuesday on an official visit aimed at reviving the bilateral relationship between both countries. The visit to Kuwait was originally scheduled for November, but was postponed when Prime Minister Saad Hariri announced his resignation early that month, which he later withdrew.
