The Islamic resistance front is going to celebrate a victory in Yemen in the near future, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps [IRGC] Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Thursday.

IRGC Chief: Yemen’s Victory Imminent

Addressing an academic conference in Tehran on Thursday, Major General Jafari pointed to the Islamic Revolution's internal and external areas of activity, saying the Revolution's external aspect has materialized in the Islamic resistance front.

The Islamic resistance is gaining more victories in a surprising way and expanding its influence in the region and the world, Jafari added.

"Over the past 20 years, we have been witnessing successive victories for the axis of resistance and defeat of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution in all Middle East countries, and by God's grace, we are going to see victory in Yemen in the near future," he further stressed.

The commander also noted that the axis of resistance front has achieved victories under the inspiration of experiences of the Sacred Defense [the Iraqi imposed war on Iran in the 1980s], saying the regional nations have realized that they can stand against tyranny by relying on their own capabilities.

Since March 2015, a Saudi-led aggression has been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Ansarullah revolutionary movement in Yemen.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.

In late November, Jafari noted that Iranian military advisers are providing assistance for Ansarullah at Yemen's request.

"Our assistance to the Resistance Front has been provided at the request of their people and their governments, and Yemen is one of the examples [of such assistance]," Jafari said.

"Today, Yemen is ruled by the Ansarullah, and Iran's assistance is confined to advisory missions and spiritual support, which Yemen needs most," he noted.
