Qatar recalled its ambassador to Egypt "for consultation" following a row over Cairo's air strikes on extremist targets in Libya.
According to Qatari state media, the Qatari Foreign Ministry declared that Doha was recalling its envoy,HamadSaif Bu Ainain, over a statement made by Egypt's delegateto the Arab League, Tariq Adel.
Adel accused Qatar of supporting terrorism after Doha's representative expressed reservations over a clause in a communiquewhich was released at the end of an ambassador-level Arab League meeting in the Egyptian capital, welcoming Cairo's raids on ISIL positions.
In a separate release, Qatar's foreign ministry stated that Doha had expressed reservations over welcoming the raids, stressing the need for "consultations before any unilateral military action against another member state."
However, it denounced the "tense" statement by Egypt's representative to the Arab League, saying it "confuses the need to combat terrorism (with)... the brutal killing and burning of civilians."
Henceforth, Egyptian F-16s bombed militant bases in the eastern city of Derna short after ISIL group in Libya released a gruesome video showing the beheadings of 21 Egyptian Copts who were in the North African country seeking work when they were captured by the group.
The ISIL had released several similar videos from Iraq showing the execution of its captives from different countries, including the United States, Britain, Japan, and Jordan.
Thus, the terrorists currently control some areas of Iraq and Syria, where they had been carrying out mass executions against civilians and security forces.
