Ceremonies with millions of Iranians from all walks of life took place in Iran on Thursday, paying tribute to Hazrat Fatimah Zahra (PBUH).

She was the wife of the first Shia Imam, Imam Ali (PBUH) and is regarded as a role model by Muslim women for her moral and religious virtues.
She was the mother of the second Shia Imam, Imam Hassan (PBUH), and the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (PBUH).

Similar ceremonies are also being held in several other Muslim countries including Iraq, Lebanon and Pakistan.
