Hezbollah issued the following statement:

Hezbollah Congratulates Syria on the Liberation of Deir Ez-Zor: Introduction to Liberate All the Occupied Lands

Hezbollah congratulates the resistant Syria, its president, leadership, heroic armed forces and patient sacrificing people on the major victory they achieved against terrorism, which was represented by lifting the criminal siege of the enduring parts of Deir Ez-Zor and paving the way towards liberating the rest of the areas controlled by terrorist criminal Daesh [the Arabic acronym for the Takfiri ‘ISIS/ISIL' group] in the Syrian east.

Such great victory wouldn't have happened without the steadfastness of the Syrian leadership and its insistence to restore the entire land occupied by the terrorists with all their loyalties, affiliations and financial sources. It was also achieved thanks to the huge ongoing sacrifices of the Syrian armed forces, whether those who initiated the offensive toward the city of those who resisted inside it along more than three years. Hence, they registered a special landmark in the history of peoples who reject surrender and defeat.

This victory is the one of the Syrian people who remained in Deir Ez-Zor along the period of the siege. It is also a witnessed and blessed victory for all of the allies of Syria who supported it.

Hezbollah finds this major victory an introduction to liberate the rest of all of the occupied Syrian territories by foreign-backed terrorism. It also stresses that the united Syria remained and will stay firm against the biggest plot that targeted it thanks to the bloods of its martyrs and the awareness of its leadership to the size of this plot.
