Although, he had faced Lionel Messi numerous times in his career as a goalkeeper of Real Madrid, Iker Casillas was caught by surprise when the Argentinian's doppelganger entered the interview room, failing to initially distinguish him from the Barcelona star.
Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, who could leave Porto this summer for the Premier League or Serie A, has been surprised by Lionel Messi. Or better said, we should nuance: by the 'other' Messi, the Iranian Reza Parastesh.
While the current Porto keeper was being asked by the interviewer with a television channel in Kuwait what would he say to Messi if he suddenly appeared in front of him.
Casillas continued to speak about the Barça man, saying that he's had "the luck -- or misfortune! -- to face him on various occasions and I've been able to produce some of my best football when I've played Messi."
Suddenly, he felt a tap on his shoulder turning back only to see the Iranian who looks exactly like the Blaugrana forward.
Unable to recognize him at the first moment, Casillas addressed him in Spanish, to immediately figure out that his supposedly Argentinian colleague wasn't able to form a sentence.
Immediately both of them burst into laughter with the former Los Blancos keeper accepting that the production's joke caught him off-guard.
"Hombre! What's up? I'm good, how are you?" laughed Casillas, continuing the joke. "You don't speak Spanish? No, only English... Argentine... Chinese? Argentine... Yes, I know, I know that you're from Iran!"
