Bahraini al-Wasat Newspaper cited ‘informed' sources as saying that scholars Sayyed Abdullah al-Ghuraifi, Sheikh Mohammad Sonkour and Sheikh Mohammad Saleh al-Rabi'i have visited prominent Bahraini leader His Eminence Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim in his house in the town of Diraz.

The visit is the first of its kind after the bloody attack conducted by Bahraini regime forces on Diraz on May 23rd.

The sources further added that "the visit aimed at assuring the wellbeing of Ayatollah Qassim's health," noting that he is doing well.

The sources, however, ruled out that the more than half-an-hour visit was made under official supervision.

On May 24, Bahraini Head of General Security, Tareq al-Hassan said there is no decision that imposes house arrest on Sheikh Qassim, adding that it should be announced under an official resolution, and in case it was issued, it will be announced at the time.
