Member of Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Nawwaf Moussawi, saw that "Regional climates, said to be affecting Lebanon, presumably positive whether the Damascus meeting or the inter-Palestinian reconciliation in Egypt, are supposed to lead to the removal of obstacles, if they exist in the way of some, to reach a national unity government."

Moussawi's words came after his visit to the Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ziad Baroud.
He also indicated "We should not lose sight of the American position, whose motive we can draw a question mark on, and we can also say that this position now seems to be against seeing this government formed."

Moussawi also said "The United States through its influence in Lebanon seeks to impede government formation through the exploitation of many elements that lead to complexity and tension, thereby preventing completing the necessary efforts to achieve the unity government."

He hoped the Saudi Arabia - Syria meeting, which paves the way for fixed basis in the inter-Arabic relations, is well read in Lebanon, and has a positive impact, so that it puts a bulwark against unconcealed and murmuring U.S. interference complicating matters in Lebanon."
