Loyalty to Resistance bloc: The formation of a national unity government ensures a genuine partnership

‘Loyalty to the Resistance' bloc held its regular meeting at noon today Wednesday 16/09/2009 headed by MP Mohammad Raad in the presence of its members. At the end of the meeting, the bloc forwarded its warmest congratulations and best of blessings to all Muslims and the Lebanese and to the people of the Arab and Islamic nations, asking God Almighty to bless our countries with peace, glory and stability, to inspire the people and leaders with guidance and reverence to protect their nations from the evil plots of their enemies.

Regarding the ‘Al-Quds International (Jerusalem) Day' occasion declared by the inspirer of the nation's rebirth in modern times Holy Imam Khomeini, the bloc called on all those who oppose global arrogance and criminal Zionism, to take a free stance to reassess their paths and adopted options which have over the past years led to further retreat politically, on sovereignty levels, prompting a further slide into the abyss of serious risks threatening Palestine, the region, the interests of the nation and its future, at all domestic, national and cultural identity levels.

With regards to the domestic Lebanese situation, the statement said that the formation of a national unity government ensures a genuine partnership between the various components of Lebanese society, based on the spirit of accord in the treatment of the country's key issues. It is the realistic and appropriate entrance to promote stability, address the problems, confront challenges and risks, and give attention to the people's social, economic and developmental concerns. This requires abandoning monopolization and exclusivity, whatever the excuses and calculations.

The statement continued that internal cohesion and mutual positive engagement between all the Lebanese inoculate the country against serious consequences which may result from the American-Zionist policies that attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause and exert control over the Arab region through Obama's deceptive diplomacy, to legitimize the Zionist usurper entity, extract an Arab endorsement of its Jewishness, and consolidate normalization with it; to relinquish the Palestinian people's right to return to their land, to prevent their liberation from the clutches of the Zionists and the arrogance supporting it.
