A rally of two thousand protestors took place yesterday on the 13th of September 2009 in the British Capital London marking Al Quds (Jerusalem) International day.
The rally included Muslim Sheikhs from different countries in addition to Jewish but non-Zionist Rabbis.
Protestors gathered to call for a Palestinian state, for an end to the occupation, for the dismantlement of the settlements, for equitable coexistence between Muslims, Jews and Christians.
Protestors rallied amidst strict security measures while carrying placards that called for the ending of the indiscriminate killings, of oppression and of the "Israeli" apartheid.
On the other hand, an opposing demonstration took place in the face of Al Quds day peaceful rally. According to resources, a new party accused of being extreme and racist that is said to be in relation with the British National Party came with a counter protest where they repeated slogans that are anti-Islamic.
