Commenting on the decision by U.S. President Barack Obama for ‘one year extension' of the sanctions imposed by his predecessor George Bush against Syrian and Lebanese figures under the pretext of "interference or violence" in Lebanon, Hizbullah issued the following statement:
Hizbullah affirms its condemnation of the U.S. decision to renew sanctions against some of the Lebanese and Syrian figures under false and flimsy arguments through which Hizbullah sees a repeated attempt to obscure the true causes of the Lebanese crisis, summed up in the "Israeli" occupation and threats.
Hizbullah sees in President Obama's decision a continuation of the U.S. Aministration's standoffish approach through blatant interference in Lebanese domestic affairs.
Hizbullah also sees in the U.S. President's renewal of the sanctions as going to extreme in hostile behavior and a pursuing of imperial arrogance logic, which prioritieses its commitment to the "Israeli" enemy's security and to cover up its crimes as an absolute foreign policy priority.
It also seems that the failure to impose further submission, surrender and relinguishing of Arab and Palestinian rights by various pressures pushed him (Obama) to such decisions, thus ‘openness' is but a ploy practiced by the U.S. administration to pass its dangerous projects into the region. Gambling on such decisions is a lost and futile cause as it will only bring about a waste of the legitimate and sacred rights.
Hizbullah stresses that time for Arabs to wake up to take the right choices has come for a while now, and successive U.S. administrations need not provide additional evidence to the depth of its adherence to the interests of the Zionist enemy.
