Imam Khamenei Agrees to Extend Deadline for Vote Complaints

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei agreed to a proposal by the Constitutional Guardian Council on extension of deadline for considering complaints regarding presidential elections irregularities for another five days.
Secretary of the Constitutional Guardian Council Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati in a letter to Sayyed Khamenei said that the Council has been working hard to deal with the complaints received on the irregularities in the presidential elections.
He added that the deadline for investigating the complaints ends on Wednesday and proposed that the deadline extend for five more days so that all ambiguities can be removed.
The Supreme leader agreed to the proposal and ordered the Constitutional Guardian Council to proceed with the procedure.
Local daily Tehran Times has reported that the Guardian Council would announce its final position on the complaints about the election results on Wednesday.
