Hajj Hassan: Egypt closed Rafah crossing and prevented medical supplies entering Gaza
Hizbollah Staff, 14-4-2009
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Hajj Hassan told LBC on Tuesday denied that Lebanese-Egyptian relations would be affected by the discovery of the Hizbullah cell in the Sinai Peninsula because major Lebanese parties had good relations with Egypt, in reference to the March 14 alliance.
"The sovereignty of Egypt cannot come at the expense of the Gaza blockade and its support for "Israel"," he said, adding that Egypt had closed Rafah crossing and prevented medical supplies entering the territory.
"Time will demonstrate that Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was right when he said the party does not intend to target Egypt's security or assassinate any figure," he affirmed.
He also called on President Hosni Mubarak and Foreign Minister Ahmad Abu al-Gheit to support the Gazans and said the Egyptian regime should deal with this issue in a reasonable manner.
