Al-Assad Calls Mokhber: To Travel to Iran, Expresses Syria’s Full Solidarity with Iran

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad made a phone call with the Iranian President-designate Mohammad Mokhber, in which he renewed his heartfelt condolences to the leadership and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the martyrdom of President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and their companions.
Al-Assad stressed Syria’s firm stance to the relationship with Iran.
He further expressed Syria’s full solidarity with Iran in all circumstances, and his confidence in the ability of the Iranian state and people to overcome this painful incident.
“I was very eager to be with the people of Iran these days and meet the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and express my condolences personally, so I will travel to Iran at the first opportunity to express my condolences and strengthen the political ties between the two countries,” al-Assad stated.
In parallel, Syria’s President underlined that his people consider martyr Raisi and AmirAbdollahian, like General Qassem Soleimani, an anti-tyranny person, who raise up against global unilateralism, stand by the oppressed of the region and the world, Syrian president said.
“The respect to them is eternal in our country Syria,” al-Assad said, adding that why Syria announced public mourning in the country to sympathy in Iran's great sorrow.
For his part, the Iranian President-designate stressed the depth of the strategic relations that ties the two friendly countries, and the continued of consultation and coordination between them at all levels.
