Hezbollah: We Ask God to Grant Iran, Its Leaders, Its People Strength to Overcome This Ordeal

Hezbollah issued a statement mourning the loss of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and their comrades.

Hezbollah issued the following statement:

On the occasion of the tragic incident that resulted in the martyrdom of His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and our dear brother Dr. Hussein Amir Abdollahian, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, as well as His Eminence Imam Khamenei’s representative in Azerbaijan Province, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Ali Al Hashem, and other esteemed brothers, Hezbollah in Lebanon extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies for their loss.

We extend our deepest condolences first and foremost to our master and lord, the owner of the age and time [PBUH], to His Eminence the Leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, may his shadow endure, to the religious authorities, to the officials of the Islamic Republic, to the resilient and beloved Iranian people, especially to their honorable families, as well as to Muslims and all free people.

We have long known His Eminence, the martyr president, as a beloved elder brother, a steadfast supporter and a resolute defender of our causes and the nation's, particularly Al-Quds and Palestine.

In every position of responsibility he held, he protected the resistance movements and their fighters. He was also a loyal and honest servant to the beloved Iranian people, the esteemed system of the Islamic Republic and the Leader. He was indeed a beacon of hope for all oppressed peoples.

So was the esteemed martyr Dr. Hussein Amir Abdollahian who throughout his tenure in various positions of responsibility, and most recently as Minister of Foreign Affairs, exemplified dedication, proactivity and selflessness.

Amir Abdollahian proudly represented our nation in every political and diplomatic arena worldwide. He was a fervent supporter of the resistance movements, unwavering in his dedication to their triumph and solidarity.

We beseech Almighty Allah to encompass these great martyrs with His vast mercy and to grant them His favor and nearness. May He bestow upon His Eminence, the esteemed Imam and Leader, protection, safety and a long life. May He grant the Islamic Republic, its leaders and its people the strength to overcome this ordeal with graceful patience and steadfast determination, continuing along the path laid by the late great Imam Khomeini and all the martyrs.
