'The PM must keep in mind that the day will come when he will stand before God, who will ask him what he did for Gilad's release,' protestor says. Shalit's father: Release "terrorists" behind attack that killed my son in exchange for Shalit

Dozens of people gathered outside Ehud Olmert's Jerusalem (al-Quds) residence Friday morning and called on the prime minister to act during the remainder of his term to bring about the release of kidnapped "Israeli" Military soldier Gilad Shalit.

The protestors blocked traffic and carried signs reading "Gilad is still alive." Passing cars honked in support.

"I've been going to all of the rallies for the past six months," Hani Bar-Nes said, "'Israel' must release all of the (Palestinian) prisoners in exchange for Gilad. Olmert must keep in mind that the day will come when he will stand before God, who will ask him what he did for Gilad's release. He hasn't done enough."

The rally was also attended by a number of parents. Roni Hirshenzon, whose son Amir was killed in a suicide (Martyrdom) bombing attack near Beit Lid on January 22, 1995, said "I am in favor of releasing the (so-called) terrorists who sent those who murdered my son. We must pay any price to bring Gilad home.

"The price Hamas is demanding is cheap in compared to the value of a soldier who is alive. The conflict and the recent war (in Gaza) are continuously producing potential murderers," he said.

With his son nearing a thousand days in Hamas captivity, Noam Shalit continued his tireless mission to keep Gilad in the public consciousness.
