Beirut - Supreme National Security Council Secretary Said Jalili on Saturday held talks with Lebanese leaders in Beirut on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Jalili held separate meetings with Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasarallah, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, President Michel Suleiman, and Prime Minister Fouad Siniora on the ongoing "Israeli" massacre of Palestinians in Gaza.
In his meeting with Berri in Beirut, Jalili said, "The representatives of people in the world's parliaments must use their capabilities to stop the killing of the defenseless people of Gaza and to end the siege."
Berri, for his part, briefed Jalili on the latest meeting of the Arab parliament speakers on the situation in the Gaza Strip.
He said Arab leaders must continue their efforts to stop the "Israeli" aggression on besieged territory.
Jalili arrived in Beirut on Saturday after a visit to Damascus, where he held talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal on the Gaza crisis.
