Hamas says "Israel" must not to "commit the stupidity" of taking its offensive to the next level, warning that its resolve cannot be broken.
"If you commit the stupidity of launching a ground offensive, a black destiny will await you," Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal said in a recorded speech on Friday.
"You will soon find out that Gaza is the wrath of God," he said.
Since day one of "Israel's" week old offensive on the strip, the Gazan border has been dotted with "Israeli" soldiers, tanks and armored personnel who await orders to launch a ground offensive.
The "Israeli" evacuation of nearly 250 foreign nationals from the strip on Friday has fueled speculation that a ground assault is imminent.
Speaking from Syria, Mashaal said the movement is confident it will win the "imposed" war as they had prepared in advance for the "Israeli" onslaught.
"Our position is clear. We will not give in. Our resolve cannot be broken," he continued. "Our demand is also clear. The war must end, the siege lifted, and crossing points open without restriction."
As the air force continued to pound the region for a seventh day on Friday "Israeli" leaders met in Tel Aviv to discuss a ground offensive into the territory.
At least 437 Palestinians -- the natives of the land -- have been killed in the "Israeli" strikes on Gaza since the beginning of the attacks on Saturday. Some 2,250 other Gazans are reportedly wounded.
UN envoy Robert Serry commented Friday that the strip -- home to around one million people -- is in a critical state of emergency.
"Schools are closed, the population is staying home, Gaza is experiencing a food crisis... hospitals and clinics are absolutely overwhelmed," he said, adding that there is "an air strike every 20 minutes on average, probably intensifying at night."
This is while, "Israeli" Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has rejected French appeals for an emergency forty-eight-hour ceasefire to allow humanitarian aid into the region.
"There is no humanitarian crisis in the Strip, and therefore there is no need for a humanitarian truce," said Livni, adding that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is "completely as it should be".
The Hamas warning comes as officials in Tel Aviv fear that the increasing range of retaliatory attacks against "Israel" may be an indication that Hamas has become capable of devastating the Dimona nuclear complex.
"Israel", according to former US president Jimmy Carter, is the owner of the only nuclear arsenal in the Middle East. Dimona is believed to be housing the "Israeli" nuclear warheads.
Mashaal also indicated that sending "Israeli" troops into the Gaza Strip would prompt Hamas operations for more Shalit-like captures.
"Israeli" soldier Gilad Shalit was captured two years ago in a operation by Palestinian fighters in Gaza.
"If you commit a foolish act by raiding Gaza, who knows, we may have a second or a third or a fourth Shalit," he said.
