Hizbullah's Executive Council Chief Sayyed Hashem Safieddine stressed "we are in front of the two methods of either resistance or the humiliating settlement that has led to the current situation."
In his Ashoura speech in the southern city of Tyre, Sayyed Safieddine said that "the method of resistance has been based on knowledge and lucidity based on a great experience that our Islamic and Arab nation had lived."

His eminence underlined "the savage ‘Israeli' enemy only understands the language of force, arms, rockets and resistance." "Those who have chosen settlement as a method, what have you offered to the Palestinian people today and what have you given this people in the West Bank other than the separation wall that has divided its cities and towns where economic, political, social, educational and national unity has been shattered by ‘Israel'?"

Sayyed Safieddine added: "It was not allowed to open the Rafah crossing outside the framework of humiliating conditions for Arabs and Palestinians alike. They are still discussing the opening of the Rafah crossing through a political settlement and through humiliating political commitments. We will keep raising this issue and we will never close it, because hat's required today is that this crossing be opened for the Palestinians, and let those who have closed it shoulder responsibility."

For his part, the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Mohammad Raad said that the situation in the Gaza Strip was an extension of the 2006 July War and was aimed at raising the morale of "Israelis" after the Resistance defeated them in Lebanon.

In his Ashoura speech in Nabatiyeh, the Hizbullah MP reiterated that the Gaza assault was in collusion with some Arab regimes and stressed Hamas and the "resistant factions" achieved victory five days ago, because "Israel" claimed that the battle needed only 48 hours, "which shows that ‘Israel' is heading to another failure."
