Hizbullah Executive Board Chairman, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine said "the resistance's rhetoric since its inception is in manifestation today, the resistance is strong...very strong in Lebanon and in Palestine." He added, "what we call for today is continued coherence, because Gaza's confrontations is one of the main omens in this arena, which we have never doubted or hesitated about, because those who are true to God, do not retreat, the scene witnessed in Gaza is about the faithful choice."

During an Ashoura congregation organized by Hizbullah, at Sayyedah Khawla shrine in Baalbek, Sayyed Safieddine added that "Gaza tried all options, the moderate Arab option, and that of the Arab system, which others feign cry about yet one wonders where it is, when the children of Gaza are being killed?"

He criticized "some countries which do not want to hold an Arab summit for Palestine," adding that "if there is an issue with Hamas, what is the fault of Gaza's children? Do they not deserve an Arab summit?"

His Eminence added: "when you talk of opening Rafah crossing as part of a complete settlement, which political solution do you intend to base such settlement on? The resistance promised the people dignity, pride, defiance and that it will deal the enemy with rounds of defeat, after seven days the enemy is still at the gates of Gaza and those besieged in Gaza...this is the resistance."
"As for you, makers of compromise and so-called moderation for over thirty or forty years, what have you given Palestine?
